03 — The case

The case against Peugeot / Citroën

The DEJF alleges that Peugeot SA (now part of Stellantis NV) used defeat-device strategies in HDi and BlueHDi diesel engines sold across the Peugeot, Citroën and DS brands. French regulators referred Peugeot to the public prosecutor in 2017 on the basis of independent emissions testing that showed real-world NOx well above type-approval limits.
